Pretty sure they are banned though I know for a fact they sell them in Northern Ireland.
You have alternatives, Diet Kick (Red Bull) in Tesco and ginseng tablets are good too.

Failing that, the train to Newry.
But then you will be brining banned drugs into the state :D

Actually here's backup though it's an old story
A PHARMACIST yesterday warned exam students to go easy on themselves this weekend.
“You are in the thick of it now so go with it,” Ronan Dockery advised.
Many students sitting their Junior and Leaving Certificate examinations have found all the studying has upset their sleep patterns. One Leaving Certificate student was swearing by the food supplement ginseng to keep her going.
Mr Dockery said food supplements like ginseng worked well if taken for one to two months before exam time.
“I do favour ginseng because it works quite well at stimulating a person’s mental capabilities.”
Some students stocked up on packets of dextrose tablets in a bid to keep them alert. Mr Dockery, however, said dextrose tablets were really only beneficial for people engaged in physical rather than mental exercise.
“If students feel better taking them, well and good. They’re harmless anyway,” he said.
The pharmacist would not recommend students taking Royal Jelly as a food supplement to keep them going. “I don’t think it has been proven to be that good,” Mr Dockery commented.
Mr Dockery said a number of students had called to his Dublin chemist asking for Pro Plus. The caffeine tablets are banned in Ireland but are still available in Britain.
“Caffeine is a good stimulant when studying late at night but too much will result in the student not being able to get to sleep,” he said.
Mr Dockery urged students to watch their caffeine intake, particularly over the weekend, so they can catch up on the sleep they lost during the week.
Another stimulant no longer on the market is ginko biloba, a supplement used to improve memory and stop ageing.
The supplement, together with St John’s Wort, is now only available on prescription.
“Eat well and sleep well. It’s too late to do anything else now,” he said.

3€99 plus shipping, cost me less than ten euro to ROI alltogether.

    Hope that helps!
And don't be studying too hard!!!

Do you think it'd be majorly dangerous taking Caffeine tablets while having alcohol in your system? im going away in a few weeks but ive been working so much latley I find it hard to stay awake come 12/1 o clock at night.
I'm afraid I'l be falling asleep just as we're about to go out to the big clubs that go on all night!
would it be a good idea to take some with me just so I stay awake and dont feel drowzy and ruin my night?

One danger would be over drinking. I saw some program on it saying people on redbull & vodkas were questioned and did not feel they were as drunk as people just on vodka and a non-caffeine drink, they had the same blood alcohol levels.

So some people might think they are fit enough to drive (or talk sense!).

It is more likely the alcohol making you drowsy, so just drink a pint of water every now and then. Stick to longnecks if you are going in rounds, or spirits -since although they are stronger a shot of vodka has only about half the alcohol as a pint of beer. I am terrible for dozing off when drinking, I have tried caffeine and it doesn't work that great.

I don't know if there are any other physiological dangers.

yeah I've had the same problem with vodka and red bull when im out! thats why I'd consider taking the capsule form maybe when im out just so I dont get tired so quick,
don't know if I'd be able to bring them away with me though, might get taken off me at security? haha

Why not sleep in late?! Just move your body clock 4 hours later. It's much easier than going the other way. That's why you don't get jet lag on your way to america.

If you're that exhausted you shouldn't force yourself to go partying. You won't enjoy it and no amount of caffeine will make it pleasant. Try to get to bed earlier for the next while, that usually helps me, even though I don't sleep well.
