Under advisement I put some deadlifts into my program.
Bloody hell, ye could have warned me :) I think my brain popped.
I wont go into how heavy it was, because its a tad embarrasing, lets just say I have bugger all core strength by the sound of it.

Start slow and with very low weights until your really confident about your form, your brain shouldn't be popping under any circumstances :D

I lifted 40kg, which is rather far from bodyweight as I am 95kg.
The brain thing is from my habit of clenching my teeth when lifting heavy stuff.
I am one of those guys with the silly expressions you see in the gym.

if you are cleancghing ur teeth really tight id advise a gum shield or ull end up chipping one of those buggers!

Its funny I started doing DL's a couple of weeks ago and I am actually quite happy/surprised with the amount I could DL. My bench press on the other hand is embarassing.

I must say Id rather have a good bench press...but I suppose you always want what you cant have.

My advice would be to not work in the 6+ rep range on deadlifts. Things start to get sloppy with most peoplethat I've seen around that point. You'd be much better just doing another set.
