Can anyone recommend anywhere to buy squat stands. I want to get rid of the bench/rack combo that I have to make a bit more room. Argos sell a set of york ones but they dont look to sturdy to be honest.
    Thanks in Advance

    www.irish-lifting.com

owner is Mickk who is a member here. PM him with any questions, or email via the site. His postage is very reasonable- think you can pick up in his gym too to save on post. Only quality sturdy gear on his site.

Mickks' stuff is meant to be very good so I'd check that out. However I have York ones and they're great. My 1RM squat is 90Kg so for me they are grand.

I also use them for bench presses - I got an adjustable york bench so I can do inclines, declines etc.

Had both about a year, they're used 3 times a week and still look brand new.....

I checked Micks website he doesent have squat stands that I can see .
I will get the york ones if there are no better options but I would rather something sturdier if possible.

    Cheers lads.

    Hanley beat me to it!

I would prefer a muli function rack, for doing dips etc.

I would prefer stands if possible rather than a rack, they are easier to move , take outside if I wanted put away etc
I would be using them for squats , presses and jerks, I dont really use my bench tbh .

Something like this 2 freestanding pieces rather than one linked one

    or these

    Which might do the trick
