Right, following on from this thread http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055158405 I'm going to organise a weekly game of soccer on saturdays between 2 and 3 in Sportsco.

Last week went well and I think most of us that played realised how unfit we as poker players are :D

We're aiming to play 6-a-side with a core of maybe 6-8 weekly players and then 4-6 that can come casually if they wish.

So far confirmed for weekly are:
    Cardshark
    Hectorjelly + 1
    Chopper + 1.5
    Rasta + 1
    Gholimoli
    BCB

    Fortnightly
    NTLBell

    Occasionally
    kebabfest
    beanok77
    musician
    Sikes
    insafehands
    Jayminator
    Hammertime
    Flushdraw
    Wisesmurf
    Whiteknight
    Mellor

For the guys committing to play every week I will need to collect approx €40pp and for the casual players it will be €5 per session.

Please post your names here with your level of interest i.e. every week or casual.

    Address:
    SPORTSCO,
    South Lotts Road,
    Ringsend,
    Dublin 4

I'll have to withdraw interest, I play from 11-12 at sportsco and waiting until 1 for the next game would be fine, but it doesn't make sense to sit around there for 2 hours afterwards waiting for the second game. Best of luck with it.

Maybe I'll post teams every Friday and we can do a book on first player to score, team to win, goals scored, first to break a leg etc :)

    im interested as regular.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,049 ✭✭✭The_Chopper

FYI: If you can only play every second week also that is fine - I'll just collect €20 from you.
Ideally I'd like to get 10 core players every week with 2 guest spots weekly - that would include anyone who wants to play fortnightly

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,288 ✭✭✭✭ntlbell

    fortnightly would suit me.

    Ollie your bet is safe.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,751 ✭✭✭BigCityBanker

yeah - this is just down the road from my house so id reckon i can make myself available to play.

I wont be gettin a taxi to or from the place, so if Jayminator is heading out, i'll bum a lift off him otherwise i'll have to rule myself out

Really enjoyed the game last week. Put me down as a regular.

Any chance we could do it from 1-2 PM instead (give some of us a chance to get home in time for whatever Premiership game is on TV on a Saturday)?

Yeah last week was really good crack - apart from hickey running rings around everyone.

I think the general feeling was that 1-2 was to early.

It's definitely booked for 2-3 this week, but if people prefer 1-2 then we can swap.
