    right i recently joined the Reserve Defence Forces(RDF)and i plan on taking it seriously i.e. i want to be fit to be able to soldier.now cardio i have tied down,but for weights would you recommend high reps with low weight(muscular endurance) with calisthenetics?(sp?)

    Use cardio to train for endurance, and weights to train for strength.


    Don't try and use weights as an endurance tool. You'll get no where on anythin if that's the case.

    Id suggest trying Crossfit workouts to get you fit & strong. Click on the "Main" tab to get the daily workouts. Iv tried some of these myself and no doubt doing these will get you extremely fit and develop good strength. These workouts are used by police, military special forces, fire fighters etc all around the world for their training.

    Or go to Crossfit.ie which is operated by boradsie Colm O'Reilly for a more irish related Crossfit.
