Are there rules that pints have to be drank? Are shorts allowed? If so I would go for Gin and Tonic, probably have to be a double to contain the same units of alcohol as a pint.

 sweet jesus reactor, shorts on a pub crawl? sure it'll be hard enough in the mini skirt and heelsfor you so you may as well!:D

Absolutely no need for that kind of language.

    "Miller" he said

For a crawl its Guinness for me, then an arse like a blood orange in the morning!.

Well erdinger can be hard to come by and I don't drink heineken or guinness. Miller is an acceptable substitute. I make no apologies.

Looks like Pa Trout has some competition

Not so Brother zaph, not so.

The enlightened man feels nothing but happiness when his Brother takes a step on the road to true fulfillment.
Brother Hagar is clearly 'becoming' and we should all be happy for him.

Pa trout, in as much as he had a philosophy, was never keen on greed or ambition. He held that much suffering was caused by lust for material things. Far better, said he, to reduce your desires to the point that you had already achieved your goals without troubling your immortal soul.

"You can only sit in the one chair, sleep in the one bed and pi$$ in the one pot" he would say.

This philosophy was usually delivered to a bewildered trout junior at 4 am of a Saturday morning, when Pa trout was under the influence of some refreshments. Pa trout was terribly concerned about my immortal soul.

*looks up* It's all-right Da ... I'm turning out OK.
