Edit Garmin Maps

    Has anyone managed to sucessfully edit any Garmin maps.
    I have A nuvi 610
    I have tried using GPS Map Edit but I can only get it to load the base map (gmapbmap)
    When I try to load the full map (gmapprom) I get error saying WARNING: No data offset field...
    This software says it is compatible with Garmin img files...
    Any thoughts or ideas appriciated...
