Gaah, from being an eating machine to having zero appetite once I started cutting the carbs...

I noticed I was putting a good bit of the weight back on that I lost last year, so moving to a higher level of proteins/fats and cutting the carbs back.
I almost have to force myself to eat. I wonder is this a temporary thing, because I dont remember this last year.

I personally find the same thing (wouldnt quite call it a problem though )

I think upping my protein intake alone does this ......... but I am sure someone more knowledgeable will have an explanation for you

Yeah! say you have to force yourself to eat at a weightwatchers meeting and you would be lynched.

Protein is said to act as an appetite suppresant or produces satiety, same thing really. I used to take protein milkshakes in the morning and have to remind myself to get my next meal in on time.

Also your choice of foods is more limited, so you are stuck with plates of the same thing, - thats why I think Atkins works for some- "eat as much as you want", but most cannot face plate crammed with just meat.

well the way I look at this is

Is it working for you? Are you losing bodyfat while retaining your muscle. Provided you are getting enough vits and minerals then I think it could be worse

Aye, pretty normal to be honest. The fat/ protein combo will keep you satiated a lot longer. I'm the very same at the moment. When you say low-carb how low are you talking out of curiosity? And congrats on the weight loss to date ;)
