Thank feck I can change my photo this year! It's so bad, the last time I was taking out a book in the John Sterne, the librarian says to me "That's an awful photograph of you. Looks nothing like you". The pic haunted me for the past two years!

Last year I tried to keep my old card as a souvenir. I kept it but made the mistake of gloating with it following receipt of my new card, and it was taken off me

Do you get a new card every year? I've been in need of one for while with the massive crack in my current one but was never arsed to go down to student records.

Yep, cards change every year. New photo every two, I think.

Every year I tell them I forgot my old card with a false promise to drop it in. Keep the old one as a souvenir!

For the last few years it has been dark blue, green, red/pink, light blue, and I think yellow. I predict dark red or orange.

I'd like grey/silver too. From what I've heard in previous years, the red has just looked like pink. I could see why too, the blue and green were very faint.

Has anyone seen the new (not that great) George Clooney film 'Up in the Air'?

He's basically a businessman who flies around the world clocking up frequent flier miles and getting cool frequent flier cards as a reward. When he gets to 10 million miles, he gets this super-swish, jet-black card. THAT'S the kind of card I'm hoping for.

I think you only get a new photo every two years, so your eye infection photo might stay this year.

Last year when I was registering for second year, they just printed my first year photo on it.

Mine looks really like I'm coming on to the photographer. When the security guard comes around to the Hamilton computer room asking to see cards he always laughs at it

Going into fourth year, have had the same picture since first year. Its served as awelcome reminder of what it looks like to be in college with a really horrible hangover, but it was also taken when I had a pretty good haircut.

I've heard you can get a new photo going into JS, but do they let you see it first? Like will they take a new photo and automatically use it, or do you get to choose between the old and new one? My current one is a mugshot (full-on serial killer glare) so I can't wait to get rid of it, but imagine the new one was worse...

Exactly what shade are we talking about here? Persimmon or Tangelo would be alright, but a Tenné or Gamboge would just be awful.
