My poor legs!

    I'm struggling here. I had a full leg workout yesterday that I thoroughly enjoyed at the time. It consisted of the following (not in any particular order);

    Squat * 2
    Dumbell Lunges
    Leg Extension
    Leg Press
    Seated leg curl
    Standing calf raises
    Seated calf raises (2 different variations)

    I've been trying this set of exercises for 5 weeks now and each time my legs are left in bits afterwards. Very sore in my thighs. The rest of my body is now perfectly capable of a strenuous workout but I can't seem to increase the workload on my legs - they just don't seem to be getting used to the program.

    Is this a common thing? Like I said, every other part of my body can handle itself when I push hard, but my legs can't.

    Just as a note, I take RAM post-workout, with a bit of Creatine.

    Way too many exercises in my opinion.

    Squat
    Leg Press
    Leg Curl (do RDLs or SLDLs on back day too)
    Calves

    Hit em hard and go home. No need to beat your legs til they can no longer move. It only means you can train less frequently and will recover slower.
