    if you just stick proxy.dcu.ie into your address bar theres an informative web page that tells you how to use to the proxy for the majority of programs!

    theres a whole page dedicated to winscp ( http://proxy.dcu.ie/docs/winscp_socks.html ) and i just followed it this morning so it still works!

    heh nice. blunt and straight to the point. I likes it.

    Well thats good to hear, its just I had my laptop in the other day and couldnt go online, a guy outa my class with a mac showed me his proxy settings in firefox and I copied them. Couldnt connect though. then another guy outa my class said he was told by the computer guys that vista wasnt supported due to it "not being secure enough".

    For MSN and Internet Explorer you will need to sex the proxy in the Internet Settings on IE.

    In Firefox (as outlined above by others)
    Tools --> Options -> Advanced --> Network --> Settings
    Click manual configuration and also click the box that says "use this proxy for all protocalls". In HTTP proxy enter the following:
    addr: proxy.dcu.ie
    port: 8080

    He is a retarded and should be branded so. I recommend getting everyone to call him retard until he stops being one.

    The wireless around campus will work with ANY system (Windows, MAC, Linux) as well as all hand held devices which support proxy such as smart phones, PSP, etc.
