creating brochures in InDesign

Hi I've been using illustrator for the last few months now and someone has asked me to do a 8 page brochure for them. How do i create multi page pdf's? I have downloaded InDesign but i cant figure out how to do this. I would really appreciate it if someone could give me some quick guidelines. Thanks F
