    Irish Bodybuilding Figure And Fitness

Hey all, for anyone who doesnt know, Bodybuilding in Ireland is a very very small thing. The nationals are comming up in both of the federations that opperate here. The RIBBF is an affilite of the IFBB and then we also have NABBA.
Either of these comps will be lucky to have 20 total competitors. Promotion of the spot is slim to none unless your in the big gyms in the major citys.
There are one or two sites which recieve a little bit of attention comming up to competition time but other than that very little contact is made between bodybuiders/weight trainers. So........ about 7 months ago a friend of mine named Pat decided to create a "bebo" page dedicated to Irish Bodybuilding and asked me to help out with the site, the basic aim of the site was to encourage others to train, offer advice and ask for some too. We were also organising member training days where a group of members from different parts of the country would pick a county to meet up and train. All of these training sessions went very well and were a great motivating tool for everyone who took part. (bebo is like myspace) In the seven months we recieved over 27000 views and have over 260 members who post on a regular basis (seen as we live in a country with a 4 million population which has an obesity epedemic were doing well). This site can be found at irishbodybuilders.bebo.com So a few weeks back myself and Pat were training together at one of these training days and got talking about the site, we both thought it was time to get a proper website up and running so thats what we did. The same idea and aim applies the new site. We have also been granted permission to broadcast "Pro Bodybuilding Weekly" from the site which is much appreciated. So for anyone who is interested in the current affairs of Irish Bodybuilding or in chatting about training etc please come visit and sign up with us at www.irishbodybuilders.myfreeforum.org

Also bare in mind we have just launched the site in the last few days so please give us some time to get everything right, or as close to as possible.

    Thanks for your time.

    Colin

go buy a domain name and just do a http redirect to your site. It means that if at any point you have to move to your own server it will make things a lot easier as people will already know the web address that and it only costs around €12 a year (you can get it even cheaper if you want).

Other then that good luck with the site
