According to major nelson, the demo isn't available in the EU for the moment. I'm downloading it from the US 360 marketplace.

lol, not to sound stupid but isn't a demo suppose to intice your target audience into buying your game? with europe being the biggest target for this game it seems a little odd don't you think?

or maybe EA knows it has too many sheep in europe anyways so it be a waste of their resources to release a euro demo.

Nope, didn't see it anyway. The demos for Stranglehold and NBA Live 08 are on it though.

Is it much better than Fifa 07 on the 360?? As that was really bad, yet it was brilliant for the PS2!!

The demo is up on the US store. Haven't played it yet though.

Ton of other demos up aswell - NHL, Tony Hawk's, Harry Potter, PixelJunk Racers. Very disappointed with PixelJunk Racers, it's not what I was expecting it to be at all - it's slot car racers rather than real racing so you have barely any control over the car other than switching lanes to avoid others.

Normally i would'nt touch fifa with a 10 foot pole, but the fact that i've been waiting so long for a soccer title and its out a month before PES, i'm definately getting it.

According to Kotaku, the EU Playstation store has been updated and includes a FIFA 08 demo.

FIFA 08 demo confirmed on EU Playstation Forums as being released today although it does state UK only, so maybe that has something to do with you not being able to see it....

Downloaded it from the US Store. Also from the Xbox marketplace. Just to compare and contrast. I have to say, Im not a fanboy of either platform. But the Xbox edges this one.

Colours are crisper, and Im just used to playing FIFA with the X360 controller. The PS3 graphics look distinctly dark and murky, but again that could be my TV. Controls are slightly clunk, and a little bit difficult to do trick moves, they just seem more "organic" on the X360.

Having said that, its still a stupendous game gameplay-wise on both platforms. Im still undecided, as I really do think its an "inadequate tv" issue, more than anything else.

Someone make up my mind for me!!!

Although fifa has come a long way since its crown first was under threat/stolen by pro(dont know the sales figures... but among people i know it was stolen a LONG time ago!) I really wasn't impressed with the demo.. i taught it was terrible.. wouldn't buy it if it was €20! What was the story with no commentry?!
I Liked fifa back in the 90's but its never impressed me since!

PS: I am admiditly a pro fan boy though!

Ah but still! Surely they could have included something ! Its due out at the end of the month.... if they dont have some sort of commentry sorted by now there in trouble. Fairly major part of the game....

I'm sure such a big part of the game has already been sorted along time ago, As has been said its only a demo..

Commentary takes up a lot of space, which means a big download. If they cut some of it out to save space, then it would sound really repetitive which would make it seem bad. Better to leave it out.


That said, I was pretty disappointed with the demo, the players seemed very unresponsive to me and it was difficult to string passes together although I didn't play it too long.

After playing the demo of them both i think pro will be better(presumning that they didn't do something horribly wrong while making the ps3 version of pro, as i played the demo for the pc)

Taught the gameplay was better in pro, some of the tricks players do just randomly is class! E.g that step over back heel that C.Ronaldo always does.. well sometimes he flicks the ball on like that!

But if your a man for liscensed teams/players/jersys/stadiums and you really cant see past it then Fifa is for you , there will be way more teams in fifa.

But as i said previously im a huge pro fan! Biased... maybe a little!!

Anyone know anything about the points sytem for online play? It says that i've reached the maximum number of points in my account, but i'm only on 2500 and i've seen people on like 6000, how do you increase it the limit?
