what to eat for enegy and recovery

    evening all , just wondering if you can give me some hints on food - i am a gym member and about to start a boxing course and from experience i know it will be tough , so i was wondering what you would recommond for me what to eat before the class so i have enought enegy to avoide falling with exaustion and then what to eat after to recover - not into chemicle stuff only looking for "normal" type foods

    Chicken for recovery and fruit like banana for recovery and energy(protein and carbs)
