Man they are playing at such a temp just awe inspiring i knew just seeing them at the anthems they meant business. Heymans is going to be steam rolled tonight!

Great play from France there, unlucky with the knock on.

Early days but I suspect France will be in
    for a torrid 80 minutes.
I hope Argentina win, but if France win I hope they win by
more than 7 thus denying the bonus for Argies.

I think you're probably right, however I really cannot see Argentina maintaining this momentum right to the end - France to sneak a couple of tries in the last 5 - 10 minutes is my guess as the Argies tire.

I cant understand Frances gameplan. Their shoving it into the middle where the Pumas words end up and thus they get turned over.

I'm honestly a little scared for Ireland looking at this stuff.

Agreed. France are lethal on the counter.
71% Territorial advantage for Argies so far. Who'd have thought. They need to score more points. A few drop goals missed so far from Argentina.

Ah Heymans is just being torn apart and the Argies are doing the right thing kicking to him each time he's going to probably break further. What a opener!

This is exillarating rugby, I'm on the edge of my seat here shouting at the screen, great stuff :)

Guys the Argies look very very good. Some pace from Corleto.

France are in serious trouble. Great breakaway try. Well done Argentina!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,249 ✭✭✭Stev_o

Bloody hell Argies are doing to France what we did to England. They are murdering them for their mistakes

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,918 ✭✭✭Brian017

Amazing. I've never seen France make so much errors. The turnovers are killing them. Maybe the occasion is getting to them.

Argentina 14 - 6 France, Penalty for the French

This is a cracking game. I hope the argies win (because France are our bogies).

I hope the rest of the world cup is this good!

France rarely play the same 2 games running. Wish it was us playing them first now, they are so nervy.

When did BOD say he wanted too see injuries? What a ****ing tool.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,708 ✭✭✭Erin Go Brath

Ref missed an obvious forward pass by France there. France lucky to get a penalty

Well you can understand what he meant - saying it in public was a no-no however.

    Argentina 17 - 9 France

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,987 ✭✭✭✭zAbbo

Whoops forward pass by a mile, and now France have a kick at goal.

Terrible decision, hope it's not decisive.

    France 9 - Argies 17

he didn't, who said he did ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,249 ✭✭✭Stev_o

Now will France pull at 1999 out of the bag come 2nd half?

He did according to the commentators quote was "Honestly id like to see alot of injuries in this game" and the commentators are saying the press will make mince meat out of him 2moro

France to win? Lol. If they had been playing NZ or Aus tonight the score card would be diabolical. You cant enter the world cup at walking pace and expect to come out on top, Argentina have come out all guns blazing as it should be!

One of the TV3 guys...doesn't sound like something he'd say...never heard about it myself. Is it just me or are the French diving in from all sides in the ruck, and Spreadbury is as usual covering himself in glory? Ibanez came in from te side twice anyway.

Depends on the context, Eddie has aluded to it on the pre-match interview as well, along the lines of anything which is a detriment to them is a plus for us.

Personally I wouldn't be calling BOD a tool, until I'd see the interview / context.

Must have missed that. But I'm going to be honest, if there were an injury to one or two of france or argentinas key players it would help us alot:o

Poor form if he did say that out loud they way he said it thou.

If the Puma's win FFS pls no Bonus point to either side!!!!

I might be thinking it at the back of myr head, but I don't think I really mean it. I definitely wouldn't say it in public though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,987 ✭✭✭✭zAbbo

Sorry wasn't directing that at you, was just saying in general likes :)

    Second half soon...gonna be interesting.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,217 ✭✭✭LFC5Times

    Great game so far lads.

Hope Argentina win as to whether that is good or bad for us,its probably bad.

Think EOS said he wanted France to win.

IF BOD said what he did - its a stupid thing to say especially after what happened him with Lions and no player wants to be ruled out of a WC.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 711 ✭✭✭BOHSBOHS

heymans first and last game as full back!!
and no poitrenaud on the bench !
the argies have obv identified a weakness under the high ball with the french back 3
