My sister is a beautician and waxed my back once! Due to my SO wanting it done for our honeymoon. Never again not a good feeling. She strongly advises against getting your chest wax because the hair grows in completely different directions.
I believe you have to wax the hair in a certain direction. She said it would be sore as hell and you would be covered in spots.

I think most people (male and female) who either wax or trim prefer to stay that way. It just makes you feel fresher and cleaner.
