years of sitting badly at a computer (leaning to the right to use the mouse) gave me a very annoying back injury. my GP says a facet joint is out of place on the right side (the joint that allows your vertebrae to move. the injury is in the middle of my back. he's tried popping it back in but it just pops out again a few hours later. physiotherapists have just made it worse

because of the muscles on the right side being weakened, my back is pulled to the left in a c shape. if i sit naturally i can feel the joint click out of place because of the curvature of my back so i have to lean to the left the whole time to keep my back straight. i'm looking for some exercises than will increase the strength of the muscles on the right side of my back without giving a matching increase on the left because that wouldn't fix the problem.

    can anyone recommend anything?

i injured it nearly a year and a half ago and its really affecting my life

Eh i think this is in the wrong forum.

Obviously this is not medical advise, but in my limited experience of putting my back out (only happen once and basically the whole thing from my hips to shoulders was out of alignment) is that daily work on posture and back stretches was as important as getting it put back into place. When your back goes out of alignment and is out for a while the muscles get used to it so you have to train them to hold it in the correct alignment. If the physio therapist is making it worse that maybe go see a different one or an osteopath or a chircopractior, though make sure that they know there stuff.

I cant recommend any specific excercises, but i would imagine that posture work would probably be more what you are looking at than weight training.

Hope you get it sorted soon!
