How can I lose some fat around stomach? Got a shirt last week, slim fit, won't fit look pregnant in it. I don't want to be superfit or a sixpack ,just get rid of the stomach. Don't drink much and do not over eat. Are the exercise machine like slendertone any good?

You could get your stomach amputated? Apparently it's all the rage in Hollywood. The food jsut passes right thru you. No need to diet ever again.*

*note: this may not actually be true

No carbs after 6pm, eat tuna when hungry, do some exercise.

They are good for their intended use, i.e. keeping muscle from wasting away in coma patients.

No much use for removing fat from the belly.

Don't drink much and do not over eat
How many calories do you eat a day?

walk everyday, eat smaller amounts regularly and you will lose weight

you cannot spot reduce fat. there is no exercise that will remove fat from just one area of your body. Doing sit ups or other stomach exercises will build the muscle behind your wall of fat. So you may develop a lovely flat stomach hidden behind the fat

read the stickies look at what you eat and change it accordingly.

The point is, you want a flat "toned" stomach right?

You get that when you've well conditioned and firm muscles. BUT (and this is the important part) you can only SEE your "toned" stomach when there's a minimal amount of fat between your skin and ab muscles blocking the view.

So you can do all the sit ups and core training you want, but if you don't reduce your overall bodyfat sufficently you won't see the fruits of your labour.

    Get what I mean??

I understand how do i reduce my overall bodyfat sufficently. Is there any thing i can get from doctor as i cannot exercise much/walk far for medical reasons. Thanks

If thre's a genuine underlying medical problem then I honestly wouldn't be comfortable recommending anything!!

Your best be is talk to your doctor and see what they have to say. If you do have a medical condition then I can only guess they'd be all for yourweightloss!

You could work hard on your diet. Coupled with a few weights - losing fat isn't about running far, it's about exerting more calories than you take in, while keeping muscle. Is there anything about your diet you feel needs changing? Chances are it does.

theres lots of fat burners out there, try hydroxicut hardcore, get them in most workout shops

although im not sure if they would work without proper diet & exercise

    pharrell??

this guy has a medical condition that I can only guess is heart related and you're suggesting they take a fat burner?? you seem t obe a fan of hydroxicut but when someone has a heart condition a fat burner which is known to cause jitters and palpatations is like a death sentance???

If you have an underlying medical condition affecting how much you can excercise the real area you have to play around with is your diet. Discuss your options with your doctor or if you have no food restrictions, make some changes to your diet as outlined in the stickies.
want to wear shirt and get rid of pregnant look

Just a thought, but slim fit shirts are just that slim fit. Now i know they come in all different sizes but they are designed to look good on a more athletic built dont they kinda taper at the waist which in your case is causing the pregant look? Now normal guys shirts are designed to cover a multitude of sins so you could always go get one of them?

not really a fan, i think wanting to lose fat and not being able to exercise really cuts down the options tho, i was assuming his medical problem was a bum hip or somethin!!

Make your meals smaller. If you have a bike, go cycling. And buy one of these:

Can get either for about €20 max.

Thats what I was thinking. Never new there were slim fit shirts. My normal shirts used to hide the belly by being so airy.

    Hi everyone
Thanks for your replies. Where can I get one of those Gavin? I have a medical cond but my heart is Ok. Still do not fancy heart jitters. I cannot walk very far or cycle and its not just the slim fit shirt now. I want to get rid of the weight. Doctor said I am overweight by the weight of a seven year old child, he gave me a diet sheet and I am going to a lady dietician to make a proper diet not good with carbo/fat/etc. my stats are

    Height 164 cm Weight 75 =12 st

    bmi 27.9

    23 k fat?

overweight by weight of 7 year old

I would like to do some exercise as well as diet so please if there is anything similar to what gavin pointed out please let me know

    Ih pregnant - yeah right!

    Thanks again

As you guys and gals are knowledgeable can you answer a related query. Years ago, before I was overweight I used a Bullworker to build myself up a bit but it made no difference. Is high protein diet/supplements needed with BW ? That was when i wanted to increase muscle but i though it might be an adjunct to dieting now, to work on muscle so that when the fat will be gone..... and its something to do ,bored can't work

    Thanks

Where can I get one of those Gavin?

I've seen both of them in Argos. But I'm sure you could get cheaper one's elsewhere.

Maybe get a month's membership in a gym since you can't run, cycle, etc... You can get a membership in a gym for about €40 a month, one or two months would probably do you to get started.
