Effects from training after stopping

    Hi Folks,

Can someone tell me how long after you stop training you get benefit from it? I started jogging in May this year but found it difficult to shift any pounds, i had been jogging 3 times per week for about 30 - 40 mins at a time but remained at 15 stone. I then injured my knee and stopped about 3 weeks ago, since then i have been steadily lossing weight, down to about 14.5 stone now. In those 3 weeks my diet has been poor to say the least yet the weight is comming off. Is this a delayed reaction to the 3 months training? and how long will i benefit from it until the weight starts to creep back up?

    Thanks.

    That's a funny one Mr C,

I started jogging myself about 8/9 weeks ago. Twice a week for about 35mins and initially the weight fell off me quite quickly - even though I wasn't exactly 'fat' beforehand.

Since then, the weight loss has been more steady and gradual, as I would've expected...

Cant imagine i gained much muscle from jogging, then again, maybe thats why the scales didnt drop in the first few months.
