Chips, salt/vinegar and a big durty onion ring or two if I'm feeling rambunctious. yumz!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,061 ✭✭✭✭Terry

Junior box w/breast, Curry sauce and a battered sausage.
But only if Bernie is on.
Sometime I'll throw in a quarter pounder w/cheese and replace the ketchup with mustard.

Gravy chips are the best when you're drinking, but nowhere does them as good as Friar Tuck's in Newry. Only been there once, but that was a meal to remember.

Abra doner kebab or taco fries. If no abra is available, definitely a garlic+cheese chip. I like these so much when im drunk that a few times, I have actually thrown away the opportunity to score :( . Really regret it the next day when I have the shíts

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,534 ✭✭✭sioda

Kebab from a good kebab shop not that Abracrapabra.

Or curry and cheese chip never sober but great drunk

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,687 ✭✭✭Dun laoire

Plain ham sandwich. Must be fresh Brennans bread and dairygold and most importantly cut triangular.

I'm also a big fan of garlic cheese chips or chicken goujons with garlic sauce from the chipper in Dalkey. Only thing is they have no efficient chip giving system so you have to wait ages, and I'm usually swaying a little bit!

ive burned my tongue :( i was too drunk to realise how hot hey were last night!! my mouth tastes like the inside of a couriers glove!

    Doner from Abra.
Garlic Cheese Chip from Lennox's on Barrack Street if I'm in Cork.
    Classic Burger from Eddies.
Special Kebab from Samis if I'm in Tralee.

Damn you OP, I want a doner from Abra now.

love cheese on chips 24/7 alcohol doesn't change that. it does add a strange longing for curry with them though.....

Like I said earlier in this thread, don't mistake hunger for thirst.
It's the main cause of beer bellies.

Blue Thunder curry chips - no other chipper can compete with them (My hungover belly is growling at the thought of them even now...). Just wish more of my drunken nights out were in the west - it's funny the things that can make you miss home!!!!

Bacon and cheese fries from abrakabra have become a favourite of mine in the last 6 months!! But i rarely eat after a night out anymore....a bottle or 2 of water on the way home is what i usually have these days!

Cant beat a decent battered sausage with plenty of salt and vinegar.

Quarter with cheese from Lino's in Bray, with a free shovel-load of chips. Since I don't drink, it is harder to go near some of the more disturbing food stuffs they sell there - kebabs look infinitely less appetising when sobre.

The old Chicken Balls and curry sauce and fried rice is also a favourite.

Me too, something very nauseating about it at that time of the night, or anytime really..

For me its gotta be crisp sandwiches as the ultimate hangover cure, has to be Tayto cheese and onion in brennans bread though, and wash it down with a cold glass of milk....mmmmmmmmmm!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,331 ✭✭✭✭bronte

Oh god, tis dangerous having a 12 pack of Tayto lying around when you come in half hammered! :D
