dont know mate, i see the micro batterys are there for a fiver and the usb cable is the same universal one used but lots of mp3 players

I (and, by extension, 'he') went for the Zen Vision:M.

I've never liked the iPod either - don't like being made jump through hoops (file conversion) just to listen to my music on my media player. My brother had used the iPod and liked the interface; which I had to concede is probably better than the Zen's.

Good prices on the Zen Vision:M 30gb. I ordered one 2 weeks ago for 160 bobs. It took about 10 days for delivery. Well impressed with it. Screen quality is the dogs

Pity about the extra 20 bucks I paid but still a good deal. I would recommend getting the power pack as it's kinda slow charging from a laptop. I had an old Creative Zen NX and it's power pack works grand with the Vision:M

Can anyone confirm for definite that the Zen micro doesn't come with a battery and that it needs to be bought separately? Its not very clear on the site, it just says you CAN buy accessories separately and not that its just the unit you are buying?

If you buy non-refurbished they don't mention a battery either in the spec. So I'm sure they do include one.

To be honest, it doesn't make sense that they'd ship it without the battery (unless they had it in big bold letters on the listing that said "this product DOES NOT contain a battery".

It'll have a battery.

Yep the more I think of it the more this makes sense. Still though very poor product info from Creative even if they are only refurbished.

I don't think so, you need to insert the 3 digits on the back of the visa,my laser doesn't have those, I've been stuck a few times with that one.But then again you can but try.
Got a zen micro myself, even though herself had 3 different creative players and all 3 fooked up. Her most recent zen has lasted well over a year which is a record. For €50 you can't go wrong though.

*I've probably just bought one that she returned:D

What's the chance of getting one of these with a scratched screen? I'd hate that! I know I'm buying a refurb but surely it has to have a good screen, I dont mind other cosmetic damage.

No earphones or USB cable is hardly a great hardship. But I wonder about the Sync adapter?
