Iv been going to the gym about 4 weeks now and iv been getting quiet a few comments from people - good comments, and my clothes are getting bigger.

    But my question is

Should u be lighter or heavier after being in the gym? I weighed myself on wednesday morning. I lost a stone in weight. Im using the bike and threadmill and a few weight machines. I realise muscle weighs more than fat but on wednesday night i put on a few pounds. Does the muscles put on weight that quickly? Is that normal, in just 1 day. Or are my scales broken?

Don't know for sure, I'm guessing it's fairly inconsistent. You go up and down during the day and over the course of the week due to water retention and stuff like that. The best thing you can do is weigh yourself only once a week at the same time on the same day, in roughly the same clothes.

I would imagine all that extra weight is all accounted for by the food you have eaten during the day. it then depends on what you have eaten and how much you have excersised as to weather that food gets turned into fat but i doubt very much that happens in a day

i for example weigh 12.5 in the morning probably close to 13 at night the next morning ill be 12.5 again

I'm usually 1.5-2kg's lighter in the morning than evening.

It's accounted for by the food and water you drink during the day.

If you want an accurate gauge of your weightlss then just pick either morning or night and use that as your "weight". I'd go with morning personally because depenign on hydration and feeding levls your weight at night will vary from day to day. Morning weight SHOULD remain fairly consistent.

Time of day, but also day to day has an effect. One high or low day can mean nothing - average the measurement out over a few days.

In this case it's probably just that you had more food/liquid in your body when you measured the second time.
