banned for reporting a insulting post in the personal forum

can somebody explain to me why i am banned from personal after reporting a bad post...

i thought it was the person who does the insulting gets banned,
doesn't one get an explanation or warning when the are banned.

You weren't banned for reporting the post, you were banned for being uberpedantic and off topic on thread after being instructed not to, in actuality to "Leave the moderating to the mods of the forum" or something to that effect.

Beruthiel is the mod who banned you.

I sent you a PM 10 seconds after banning you, which according to Boards tracking messages, you read, so you know exactly why you were banned and it had nothing to do with the title of this thread and everything to do with your pedantic, off topic, smartassed behaviour.

I do try to ignore prattish behaviour but this guy had a go at me on boards.org.uk for locking a thread after I asked him and another poster not to go off topic and start a new thread to discuss that particular topic instead. He continued to take it off-topic...so as has already been said it's not the first time. I get frustrated by people who can't learn lessons.

In this case, it looks like the OP decided to continue posting off topic and then put in a "let's continue by PM" to try and gain some immunity from a ban while still taking it of topic. He could easily have made his PI post by PM instead of posting it and no-one would be the wiser...

You know what, I for one, have no interest whatsoever in unbanning you. It's not the first time you've been banned and you have nothing to add in PI that any of us will miss.

Your intent in that thread and in this leads me to the conclusion that you were deliberately seeking some sort of confrontation at some point down the line.

Until now, i was not aware of you having any previous "Form". However, as posters point out you have a continued presence and ability to create such matters out of nothing.

In the real world you would be classed as a "rent-a-protestor". In the absence of something to rail against you are quite happy to create something yourself.
