    Hey,

Looking for a cheap enough gym within Dublin 8 or near bus journey. Nothing looking to spend a huge amount of money (only 16 and no income). Just want to bulid up my muscle, at the moment I'm only half as bulit (muscle wise) as I want to be.

Cheers for any replys in advance. If you have prices or websites for the gyms that would be get too.

Hmm there are a few gyms around that area though Dublin 8 is large so i assuming your taking about the SCR/ Kevin st area?
There is Pinnacle gym on camden st, it 50euro a month. It great value and a deadly gym.
there is also the fitness dock on camden st, not too sure what the rates
Iveagh Fitness gym in christchurch, its expensive enough around 100 a month and although they have a pool my experience was it wasnt really worth the dosh
YMCA gym on aungier st, used to do student and unemployed rates which worked out really cheap. They have upgraded their facilities since the last time i was there, the drawback is though with their reduced rate packages i am pretty sure you have to go off-peak.

Most of these gyms are in dublin 2 except iveagh fitness, but they should be pretty okay to get do suppose it depends on what part of d8 your talkng about.

Hope this is of some help

Living in The Liberties part of Dublin 8, near the SCR. So most of them are quite close.

Your best bet i'd say is to go and check them out. Just so you are aware though most gyms require that if you are paying on a monthly basis you pay by direct debit/standing order.

I was a member of the YMCA years ago, and then you could pay 3/6/12 months membership at a go and you can also pay as you go.

Before you hand over any money though, get a tour of the places and make sure you are happy with the equipment and all that.

The only one of those gyms I've been to is Iveagh Fitness. Not worth the cash IMO!
