Crunch gym temple bar

Do any of you know of Crunch Gym in Temple Bar? Is it worst all the money?

I did the tour of the place and to me no it's not worth the money. My friend described it as feeling like a brothel and she wasn't far off the mark. On a related note, if you do go to visit, do not give them your real contact numbers. I've been getting phone calls and texts almost ever week for over a year despite repeated requests to take me off their contacts list.

Hi All!

I got a very bad experienced in Temple Bar Crunch Fitness! One of the reception I think she is from India, she is very rude in terms of you forgot your badges, she wont even let you in! Horrible lady!

Hey there

I'm in it simply for convenience, it's handy for me to get to. It has it's pro's and con's but I've found a lot of con's lately. I'll just run through the good and the bad for you.

Pro's

Ladies weights area
-An abundance of cardio machines, you're never left waiting
-Free classes
-Handy location
-Nice Pool

Con's

-Unhelpful instructors (I have my own program but any time I've approached them about anything else they're never been very helpful)
-Changing rooms are like sauna's, really warm
-Free weights in ladies area only go up to 10kg
-No kettleballs, medicine balls or ankle weights
-No back extension equipment (only found this out this week)

Basically if ye have a fairly simple work out then it's grand, but when you start varying it a bit you might run into problems. I'm looking into moving somewhere else at the mo, but it's tricky finding somewhere I can get to easily.

i had membership to both tallaght and aston crunch, i suppose the decor is a bit strange....but cardio is cardio and weight is weight....regardless of your surroundings!!!

I got my refund from crunch cause tallaght is closing so i too am on the lookout for a city centre gym, D2 if at all possible, and to me memory i paid 420 for use of tallaght and aston quay for a year....which aint bad for 2 gyms!!
