    Hi Guys,

This question is for anyone in the know... (I'm looking at you Jon!)

Basically Im going over to work in the black hole of society that is Silicon Valley for a month. Only good thing about it is the abundance of free gyms (at work and hotel).
So I want to take my RAM with me... Obviously I cant take the tub with me as it would take up a s**t load of room. I wouldnt like to buy a RAM equivalent over there (if such a thing exists!) as again i wouldnt be able to take the tub back with me. So i was wondering could i possibly put it into some sandwich bags or something and put it in my suitcase?!

I have these horrible visions of being pulled into immigration and getting the old full cavity!!

LOL, well legally you'll be fine bringing RAM with you. However if you get some gob ****e yank at customs who spots the powder in the bag you could be in for a search and a talkin to 'sir'.

If I was you i'd bring the tub or at least a reference to what it actually is to avoid confusion. I brought some protein to Holland before when I was competing over there and they had a fuss about it, they said I'd be best off bringing the tub as the label is on it. The tub isn't that big if you have a decent suit case :)

I remember having a jam jar of white washing powder and got through the US & NZ customs (NZ are pretty strict), all spotted it and questioned it, but never even made me take it out.

If they are unsure they might make you eat some, I had to drink water a few times going on planes (before the "liquid bomber").

Best bring the leaflet/label, as mentioned though.

DON’T even attempt to bring powder on a plane !!! They wont let it onboard , I looked into this when bringing my grandmothers ashes to be scattered in England , to get them on the plane they wanted a lab test which would of taken months , (we just got the ferry ) . Ring the airline and see if you can get it onboard in your main luggage (in the hold) they may of relaxed some what , but normally it has to be in a factory sealed container , your best bet is buying it over there and mailing what you don’t use back.

I hadn't any problem bringing udels of powder to Bulgaria with me. Might depend on the airline.

I think it's more to do with the fact that u where going to Bulgaria , rather than the airline , the us and uk are the ones that have the real probs

I never brought it to the uk or us, however I generally just check it in my main bagage. Last one was Sweden I think I had 16 bags of white powder as well as whenever I travel for a race I always bring some IV kits with my first aid kit. No probs so far.

Maybe I just got the airlines official policy

worst that can happen is the take it off you , what you really need to know is if they put it in one of those drug test pouch's will any thing in the product set it off ???(the guards should have a list of stuff that gives false readings just ask them for a copy and check it against the list of ingredients on the pack of your sup) even if it does , they have a machine in the back that will break it down and tell them exactly what it is in a few seconds so the delay should be at a minimum,

If you do try to bring it let us know how you get on

Hey guys, thanks for all the replies.

Yeah, Im going to take it over in my main baggage that I check in. Ill give them a call first though just to make sure. Its Virgin and they are usually very nice to deal with. Ill make sure to bring the label and a shaker and that to make it a bit more believable!:)

Even if you aren't I'd leave it there and have more room for the stuff you'll buy....
