and I'm really getting into it, I go 3 times a week, Mon tues and Sat. I'm in westwood prior to that total fitness, die to location left.
One thing is bothering me, I'm only starting off on the big barbells and I can only manage 20 kg's, tried to do 40 and I couldn't.
Due to my fallen arches I replaced lunges with the squat machine.
I'm also thinking of doing swimming classes for beginners.
as for diet, trying to cut down on the drink, but I find it toguh, the vicounts biscuits are a killer also.
    I was 14 and half stone now I'm 13.

Fair play on the progress, however what's the idea behind the thread?

If you want to track your progress, the fitness logs is the place to put this

Going from 20kg to 40kg on the BP is a fairly big jump , why not try going up in 5's or 2.5's each week or so.

then a month or two down the line and you will be upto 40kg and beyond ....

Once I had established a decent base doing pyramids (12,10,8,6) and dips helped my bench press no end. As Darth mentioned you should only be increasing in much smaller increments.
