Body Shape Advice

    Hi,

I am a female early 30's, tall, very slim on top, but my problem is from the waist down.

I have fat on my hips, legs and bum. When I lose weight it tends to go off my face and chest (i.e upper body) before anywhere else. I would like to maintain the weight on my upper body and face and just lose it from my hips, bum and legs. I don't expect to end up with super slim legs as am aware a certain amount of one's shape is down to genetics. All the same, I would like to shed that "excess fat' and tone my legs both upper legs and calves - both are in need of attention!

Any suggestions would be greatly welcomed.

You can't choose from which part of your body 'excess fat' will come off unfortunately. If it tends to come off your upper body first, you're stuck with that.

    Hi Donna,
I'd be the same as you, smaller on top than on bottom, and I've found that cycling has really trimmed down my lower half(I'd cycle 50-100 miles a week). And if you do weights to define your top half it'll even out the look of your body.
So maybe look into a few cycle routes in your area or do a couple of spinning classes every week
    Good luck!
