I thought a thread with links to interesting articles might be a good idea. There was one posted a while ago - charting the different courses of Arnold Schwarzenegger and a fellow Austrian bodybuilder whose efforts to be the best eventually killed him - but i dont really see that many links to articles posted up so maybe if people come across them they could throw them up - articles, interviews with athletes whatever with the link and a brief description.

Heres one to start it off

An interview with Greg LeMond - first American winner of the Tour De France about - fairly frank and pretty good.

It's actually an extract from "Muscle" by Jon Hotten. A very good read.

Yeah, great all round sports book. I'd recommend for anyone who's never even seen the inside of a gym

Though I'm no fan of cycling, I loved the Greg LeMond article - thanks for the link.

I read a few chapters of "Muscle" - it really shows the insanity of professional bodybuilding. Whereas bodybuilding during Arnold Schwarzenegger's time (early to mid 70s) looked like a lot of fun, guys like Andreas Munzer and Mohammed Benaziza took obsession to a whole new level

Here's a good article on a bodybuilder who realised he was indeed mortal before it was too late.
