I don't know how often there are guitar/gear threads around here, so...

I play an RG1527 through a GNX3000 into a set of headphones most of the time, and I hope to get an acoustic soon.

So, what about the rest of you guys?

    Nice.

Your the one who put white bobbin toppers on yours, right? I thought those looked classy.

Main guitar is '98 Gibbo LP Std. At home, it'll go direct into a Laney VC15 or a ****ty Behringer practice yoke that I picked up out of desperation when my much-loved Pignose died. Main usefulness of the Behringer is that it fits perfectly and lives permanently beside my TV-watching armchair. Only other electric is a '70s Pearl LP copy, which lives on the other side of said armchair.

At practice/gigs, I'll usually plug into whatever amp is available (I'm so lazy, I've managed to avoid bringing my bigger amps to gigs) through a range of effects: Crybaby, Duncan Twin Tube, GE7, Ibanez chorus, DD3.

Said big amps that I have managed to avoid bringing to gigs, and indeed are rarely turned on these days, are Marshall JTM45 reissue, early '70s 100W Laney Klipp, through 2 no-name 2x12"s with Celestions.

Other assorted pedals and gear (Alesis, Korg, Tech 21 etc) stored a in big box in case of emergency.

    Thanks. ;)

The ENGL Fireball is just amazing. It's very simple, 2 channels, so probably not the most versatile thing going, but it sounds incredible. Lovely tight bass response, so I think it's perfect for 7 strings.

I wouldn't knock it. The PodXT Live is a great bit of kit. I'd say get yourself a better amp than the MG to run it through, and you'd be flying. ;)

Originally the plan was for an amp, ended up with the POD, but yeah, I'll have to get a decent amp someday..........or maybe I'll put my plans for a new guitar on hold hmmmm
