Thinking about joining a gym

I was thinking about joining a gym. Iv never been to a gym before. Im not really into exercising at all especially after i got my car. The only exercise i do get is moving my legs when pressing the pedals and moving my arm to change gear. So im pretty lazy and so ashamed of it. I tried walking a few months ago but it just started to rain on me and that was it. My mother was saying walking would be the same thing as a gym but free. But if i joined a gym it wouldn't be raining on me. But i want to lose some weight and hop onto a threadmill for a few months. I was thinking about joining for 3 months and see how i like it then but i still dont know. If i dont join, im just going to get fatter. I dont eat much but its definately the exercise im not getting. If i pay i would definately try and get my moneys worth by using it anyway.

Has anyone else been in my position before? Whats it like using a gym?

I found out about gym membership and the prices. Its ok. And i was given a tour of the gym i want to join. It looks lovely. And they said they had a tv in the treadmills. Is this an actual tv or just a personalised screen to tell u how many miles u walked and what not?

I would say it is an actual TV, as most gyms have them - but I can't be certain.
Some people find it easier to get motivated to exercise by joining a gym, so I would advise you to give it a go. It's important to remember that you still have to make the effort. Ask yourself, is it really the rain that stops you from walking?
    Best of luck
