Howdy,
Just wanted to see how exceptional anyone elses run was.

My brother went from $1.50 to 10k in about 90 minutes (and yup, I witnessed it myself) going up levels every 15 minutes or so. It was all Omaha.

Then of course, he lost it in 30 minutes played 150/300 Limit.

I was once dealt AA 4 times in a row, followed by KK 2 times after that. I lost it all when I was dealt KK the second time when I was called by someone who had aces

1.50 into 10k is amazing! When I first deposited I went from 24 to 360 in about 2 hours but its never happened since and I obviously lost that!

It was pretty unreal to watch all right, hand after hand, it was incredible..

and to watch it disappear was just amazing, alot of money to watch disappear like that..

Made 10 FT's in a row in a donkey tourney with 100 and something players. that is some donkey skills!
Won every home game I have run in two years at college and have played 10 times at a friends home game. Came 2nd in the first, won the next 9. They actually stopped inviting me!
Anyway, I ran terribly after that without a big PP holding up in about two months lol...
The worst was have three pocket queens in a row cracked in 10 minutes, 4 handed.

I once saw someone on the old PPP software make 80K one night after buying in for 10, on the 150/300 table. That must be such a rush.

Did the whole tank one night and didn't realise i'd left a chip in Noel O'Neills chair for him, no objections from the table so i threw the euro in, won 5 all ins in omaha in a row including a 7333 starting hand (won with a house, case 3 on the flop) and turned 1 euro into 220.

Another night a guy came into the Jackpot and took a personal dislike to me and went and tanked up for about €1000 and blew the lot just to me. In one hand I had 6h6d pre-flop raised and he called. Flop was AsKs6s i pushed all in and he called and when i showed the 6's he folds saying he is drawing dead. Gordon and Gareth still hate that I got all that money.

Over the course of a couble of weeks I spun 5o banana into almost 10k-saying that i have spun down many a time.
I had one herocic night in the se where I was getting slaughtered in the nl
game-took the case/taxi monies nifty to the wheel.put 25 on 25 and covered proximity in 5s.Steven I think puts it up first time.Almost a k-go back to the nl game buyin for the lot run it up to over 2k including winning blind standy uppy at the end hit jacks and spin a nifty into almost 500-went from 50 quid to nearly 3 k in literally an hour.Sweetness.

playing live cash 1/2 i managed to lose most of my money in a hand and was left with €14 got delt A3 put in in and got 6 callers and won the hand with a pair of 3s:D i managed to cash out at the end of the night with about €1400

biggest rush was looking to donk off my last 33 dollars on FT whilst waiting to go out one Saturday night, went all in 3 times playing PLO 50/1.00 and 1/2 hour later up to 950 playing 1/2 PLO, so wanted to continue playing the rush but prob best i had to go out:D

One dreary friday evening the buddy I was living with left the house to head off for the weekend. I had $450 in my ppp account. On his triumphant return on Sunday evening I had $8270. It was a joyful weekend.

I know there is skill involved, but surely there is a MASSSSSIVE amount of luck on runs like this. None ever comes my way :-(

€35 into €850 in the fitz.
Went down to €35 said **** it and shoved with A5 on a 24J board hit the 3 and got that to €90. got KK next hand raised to 15 got 4 callers and an all in ont he flop and then up again.
then i took €200 to the omaha 1-1 game and hit a sick run where i got it all in several times and cashed out for €850

$65 to $1000 in one night on stars. Played short stacked 1/2, spun it up to $200, then played short stacked 3/6, spun that up to $1k, that was over three weeks ago, been up and down, only made another $100 since.

Also spun €50 in Jackpot to €500, courtesy of Mark :P

Sporting Emporium just this weekend.

Bought into the pot limit HE game for €150 and in the space of 5 hands got it up to about 500 after hitting top set, broadway straight and a flush, getting action every time.

Changed over to the NL game and ran it up to €1k on the feeder table busting 3 people, 1 time calling a €100 push preflop with 56s and hitting a straight.

Switched from the feeder to the main table and was up and down, lowest point €400 then started hitting some hands and was up to about €1300. 2nd last hand of the night I call a €25 preflop raise from the big stack with 85d and the flop comes 85T rainbow. I'll gloss over the details but he ends up doubling me up to make it €2450 profit for the night.

Next night I chop the SE double chance tournament heads up for €1k. Then I go back home to Cork and win €1k playing Omaha after hitting a sick 2-outer.

The run finally ended last night when my girlfriend called me when I was stuck €800 in the Omaha game and I had to pick up my stack and leave the casino. :rolleyes:

Once won a tenner in sit and go which was a feeder to another tourney on that nite, won 400cash and another ticket from that, this new ticket i got got me an even newer and more expensive ticket to a big tournament, got down to the last two tables and cashed for 6K, so €6,390 profit from the tenner - and to think i was gonna head to the cinema that nite instead!!

on a bit of run myself at the minute - hadnt played on paddy power for over a year - they sent me a free 5 dollar tourny token last wednesday, i finished second in a 3 table sit and go and i have spinned it up to 2200, currently playing 1/2.....

Another little piece of illness that deserves mentioning. Last year I had bought into Paradise Poker for roughly €40 and ran it up to €1000 playing $1-$2 limit Crazy Pineapple (yes, I know, weird). I then decided I was bored of Pineapple and started playing SnGs and ended up blowing the lot. Go me. In fact I was so disgusted with myself that I decided I was quitting online poker; which at the time for me meant quitting poker.

Then I arrived home one evening to find that due to my frequent play on the site over the last month I had a free entry into a 500 player MTT with 1 WSOP main event package as 1st prize. Ended up in Vegas and though I busted quickly out of thee ME I made a bundle playing cash and somehow found my enthusiasm for the game had returned.

I spun my ferry money $20 into $10k dollars in foxwoods about 3 years ago. It was sick up there for a few days with a wedge, lost it all and had my money to get the ferry home. decided to give let it ride a bash, played $5 dollar a hand $15 across the board plus the dollar bonus. 2 hands in i hit 4 queens for the big sherbet. Happy days!!!!

i got 70 euro up to over 2600 playing roulette one night. then twice within about 15 minutes the ball landed in between 2 numbers whereby either of them would have won me about 2.5k. then i went on roulette tilt and lost it all.

Obviously going on these type of runs requires a complete lack of bankroll management. No way you can play optimally and run up huge totals like this. Obviously I've never done anything like this, even though I wish I had sometimes.

1st time ever playing cash in the fitz i turned 100euro (all the money i had in the world) into 1000. The next time i played i bought in for 100 again and cashed out for 1400... didnt really know what i was doing at all but ive been hooked since!

came home from the team poker cup in city west about 4 in the day had $460 started playing on my tribeca account and spun it up to $15k playing just mtts only(cashed in 9 mtts biggest cash was approx $3k). and a similar run from $1800 to $14k both in under 24hrs again just mtts. biggest tourny entry the $20k guarented on both occassions.

In 1992 on the way to the bank to change my pay cheque I dropped into the bookies, had £4 in my pocket left 90 minutes later with £8400. I know its not poker related but the tread brought back a sweet memory

By far the best is a certain boards member who came to barcelona for a week with 100 euro for accomodation, food, drink and poker! he came home with 10k.

Not my best run, but the best timing... I remember being totally cash broke and on the way into the 100FO on monday in the fitz. On the way in I had my car taken off me because the tax was out of date by 14 months. I walked the rest of the way with a bunch of CD's under my arm and roughly 150 in my wallet 100% determined to win the tournament to pay the 1300 it would cost me to get my car back. I won 2k in the fitz that night for 1st, got 2nd in the 100 FO in the merrion the next day, split the big Merrion 200 FO on thursday with my brother and then split another 200FO (home game) with my brother in Fintans suite in a hotel in cork that friday!

logged in to doylesroom for one of the first times since tribeca closed. had load of frequent player points. used them in there $20 rebuy on friday night.(which also take fpp's as payment) won it good for $4840.......

the very first time i took a pop at 10/20,around this time last year,i had 18k in my account,bought in for 1500 (it was on tribeca) and ran it up to 21k,doubling my bankroll...

never found out who the guy i won most of it off was but he was irish,anyone here know anyone who lost a 16k pot with a turned set of kings against a flopped straight?

Had about 150$ in my PPP account at xmas gone. Was meant to go out stephens night although was feeling the worst for wear. I entered the old nightly 20k$ guaranteed on Tribeca entry 18$ with rebuys. 5 and half hours later with no rebuy or topup i came 2nd for 3,300$. I also managed to final table it 2 more nights in the next 6 coming 6th and 9th for a grand total of 6100$ in a week.

I got it to 180
and lost it all :-(

Asd for poker runs I believe there's a number of players posting here who have run up huge bankrolls from those free $10 that some sites used to give out.


I lodged £100 Stirling on littlewoods last june (2006) and I'm still operating out of that deposit online having withdrawn €30k+ although I was down to a $1250 rakeback payment at the start of this june, its much healthier now. I suppose this constitutes a run all be it over a long period

So I did an experiment of how lucky I can get, I stuck $200 into a 5/10 table, played for a few hours, got it up to $1200, then got Aces and doubled up to $2400 through jacks on a ten high board, nice!
