They certainly work, but there's nothing healthy about them. They artificially increase your metabolism, making your heart work harder.

Cardio and diet is whats needed here not pills. Try green tea.

This pills are loaded with caffeine, it can be deceptive sometimes when you read the label as there are herbal names listed that are just versions of caffeine. Too much caffeine puts your metabolism out of sync, definitely not recommended for anyone at risk of heart disease and caffeine is addictive.

Anyway sweat & tears is far more fun …..

If you are going to skip the gym and are knackered after work eat a big tin of tuna and drink a few glasses of water. You will feel stuffed, but have taken in little to no carbs or fat. The protein will maintain what muscle you have.

10 years ago, myself and another instructor at my gym decided to try Twinlab's Ripped Fuel. It was a "fat-burning" product, aimed at those looking to reduce their bodyfat level. My bodyfat would have been about 10% at the time.

The product contained ingredients which are now banned - especially Ma Huang, another name for the herb Ephedra.

I didn't stay on the tablets long enough to see any of the positive effects promised. They definitely speed up your heart-rate and you can actually feel at work in your stomach (whether doing good or bad work, I don't know). Lisa, the girl who was also taking the tablets, said the effects on her body were just like those when she used to take speed. Finally, it was difficult to get a full night's sleep taking them, because they seemed always to be "at work".

Personally I wouldn't recommend them because they interfere with your sleep. Anything that interferes with your sleep will eventually play havoc with your cortisol levels, leading to an increase in your blood pressure and your blood sugar levels. An increase in your blood sugar level will soon result in an increase in bodyfat, the exact opposite of what you want!

I have given my stance on fat burners before, but i suppose i will again. They are fine if you are using them for limited periods and for the correct reasons. It is highly unlikely that any legal aid will offer massive assistance with regard to burning off adipose.

What they will offer is good appetite suppression and an energy pick up if you are running a very low calorie defecit.

Finally, a 2 week relapse is not a relapse. It's just not trying. Sorry if that sounds harsh.

I got some a few weeks ago but havent been takin them much

they do state clearly that they contain caffeine and they recommend only taking 2 per day with your breakfast

I'm gna give them a go this week, more for the energy boost

At the end of the day, they're always gonna be a supplement for weight control, not a replacement

Anyone know names of good products?

40 mins a.m cardio, 5X days a week is a great product and its free.

Thermobol by maximuscle is another product, as fat burning pills go its effective, however its not cheap.

I took them for clubbing etc not weight loss and by god they destroy your appetite! I didn't eat for three days once. Really really bad idea if you're watching your weight because they'll wreck your metabolism in the long run, even though they boost it short term.

I also heard you're at risk of water intoxication if you take too many stimulants- that's scary. Obviously I was taking higher doeses than you would but if they can harm you noticeably in large doses in the short term, in the long term in small doses they will too. Some nights i thought I'd have a heart attack my heart was beating so fast and so strongly. I took mostly ma huang and kola nut.

In fact, because of pep pills, I eat about half what I used to and after a few months I stopped losing weight, even though most people would be hungry if they ate as little as me.

If it's for an occasion then it's ok. And they are fun... unfortunately.

Seriously, chest tightness is a very bad sign when you’re on these, healthy is your wealth …………….

Post the ingredients and your symptoms in the bio & med board and see what the say.

I did a course of man scorch at the start of the year, and they seemed to help. But a couple of notes to go with this. First of all, I chose them because they were ephedra free, Second, unfortunately they are caffeine based, which is not the worst, provided you don't drink coffee or any other caffeine based drink. And third of all, you have to put up with the effects a dosing with caffeine and the other ingredients has on your head. They helped me get back in to the swing of dieting and exercise, and i would say they are a small help in getting started again. But in the op's case, I dont think that they are appropriate, as you already are going the gym. It sounds like you need two things: Routine so that you won't fall out of going to the gym, and getting your diet right so that you'll be eating healthy in a way that it do's not seem like your sacrificing anything. There are plenty of tasty ways of enjoying healthy food, just ya gotta get out there and discover them. This also has the added benefit of improving your ability to cook good food.

I tried Hot Rox before and DID NOT LIKE THEM, I felt sweaty, and a little bit out of it, and occasionally nauseous for about 6 hours after. I also realised how crap it was not being able to eat properly.
It taught me how much better exercise and diet control are.

So do the emails in my spam box for tablets promising a 10" cock overnight.

    Look at this bull**** logic/marketing
Have you ever seen an overweight fish? Or an oyster with a few pounds too many?
Animals in the wild have to exercise to get food, lazy people sit at home and eat. Fish can overeat and die if kept captive, in the wild they do not encounter such huge amounts of food while not having to move.

Walk to the shops and carry your food home to mimic wild fish/animals better, it will result in more fat loss than some overpriced fish guts.

I ordered some fat burning tablets online. You can imagine my surprise when two STONE tablets arrived to my door each weighing 30kgs. I've been carring them around as instructed for two weeks now and have lost 3 stone.
    So yes they do work.
