Airsoft in Ireland first year celebrations :)

The amount of work and growth that has been put in over the last year is actually quite staggering. What started off with a

'does that line of the bill now mean airsoft is legal!?'

has turned into a large base of players, the Irish Airsoft association, a skirmish site, several retailers and a whole lot of fun.

It MUST be celebrated!

Anyone have any ideas? Skirmish? Beers? ...something totally different?

scoops defo, be nice to put faces to the names everyone know from here.
but seeing as we have younger players why not have say a target shoot at HRTA so eveyone can join in and then go for pints afterwards

An informal shoot and then beers after would be good. Not to say that HRTA is totally formal! Where for beers though? City?

I'm not afraid to admit it, and the people in the room with me at the time will testify to this. I actually started leaping up and down and shouting when I read the new act.

Pretty much the same thing that happened to me. And the novelty still hasn't worn off. I doubt it will any time soon. Not with the range of airsoft guns available out there! :eek:

I have a t-shirt that says "so many moms, so little time" and walked into mothercare looking for a present for my aunt, totally forgetting I was wearing it. You'd be surprised what you can get away with.

try giddy juice, me and one of the lads used to make,
Buy a litre bottke of water empty it out and fill it was as much enery/sugary drinks as possible then chug

Was talking about this with a mate today. He came up with the odd and great idea of skirmishing as tv/movie characters for the day. Ie; John McClane, John Matrix, Jack Bauer.



Oh and as for the tshirt thing:

Been thinking of asking Nonex to host a Kegger/BBQ we can bring down some gee-tars etc and have ourselves a session, course that would make it an over 18s only event and I am not sure of the legal implications of us bringing alcohol to the site, still though Beers and Burgers - Truly there is no greater combination

That's not as good an idea as it seems! Beers tend to gas the Camelbaks too much, either they burst, leak or on your next mouthful you get hosed with gas!

Now vodka or jager in it...

Probably best to do it on a weekend. How about the Friday or Saturday after? 10th or 11th? Gives people plenty of time to cancel whatever plans they had.

Might be a better idea. Would be after the bank holiday so there will be more people around to turn up. I will be in the sunny Carribean on the 10th so won't be able to show unfortunately.

Uhm guys just a point, even with the best intentioned and well behaved, beer and AEGs is probably not a good mix. I think if we do have a get together at a site its should be an AEG free day (blasphemy I know) at the very least we need an area where all the equipment could be locked away once the beers start

If I'm going out for some drinks, there's no way I want to have to lug a load of gear home. Not after the last time. I don't ever want to wake up with a hang over thinking 'oh dear god, did I bring my everything home?!' again.
