Slowly, slowly, slowly...this beast of a competition grinds towards a finish of sorts...

We are down to 16 (well, almost - there are still 3 games to finish from Round 3. PMs sent to all).
DITTag has received his bounty and NFR will have to get his bottle o' rum in person (interesting exchange with the good people at An Post when I tried to post it to him, lol).

BCB was talking about putting up some odds at this juncture, any interest BCB?

hard to get the game on because cooker3 is in the states , i was on hols for first two weeks since round 2 and then he was on hols, but ill try to get it sorted today or tomorrow...

sideshow and myself were meant to play tonite, but I'm in the process of moving house so I had to cry off as had too much to do tonite. The game will probably happen tomorrow or the day after I'd guess.

I beat delanec8 2 -0.

First game was uneventful. Nibble, nibble, nibble, nibble, nibble, dead!

Second game was awesome! Something like this: Nibble, nibble, he's got trips, he's got trips again, haha I've got trips now...he's got the same trips with a better kicker!?!? aaaahhhhh, gamble and got lucky, nibble, nibble, his AK beats my A8, nibble, got really super lucky with 86 against his AA. /me getting deodorant now.

Meh I don't want to make a big deal out of this as I know this competition is a bit of fun and you are organising the competition of your own back without any reward and doing a real good job of doing it as well but I think it's a little unfair I have been eliminated

I pmed aidankk originally to organise the game, he took a few days to reply sent pm on 7th saying he was on holiday to following wednesday. I said fine and told him to pm when he was back which he said he would in pm. I waited and eventually pmed him to ask what was happening, he finally replied on 17th saying to text him about it. I can't due to my crap phone not working well over here so I pmed him few times including one stating when I was free to play. I posted on the round 3 thread and pmed you about it but he never replied bar saying he was trying but he never actually pmed me again.

Overall I think I have been much more proactive in trying to organise a match and was pretty much free for those 3-4 weeks but aidan never gave a firm date of when to play. I am not trying to criticse aidan or you (el stuntman) and if this is the final decision then that is fine and I wish Aidan the best of luck in next round but I just think it's tad unfair.

the fact is that I said both in the thread and by PM, that is you hadn't played your match by Thursday am, I would flip a coin to determine the result. This duly happened, aidankk won. The time for complaining about this or letting me know you had problems with him was before this deadline, not after.

I don't want to get into handing out walkovers etc (especially with real money now invested in this) but I'd also appreciate if people would make an effort to get their games played.

second game he disconnected in level 2 and hadn't come back by level 5, I've to be somewhere by 10 so couldn't stick around and wait.

I've also got my father in laws birthday party tomorrow night so we'll need an extension. I won't be happy to go through or go out on a coin flip due to no fault on my part.

Sorry bout the connection dam wireless kept disconnecting, seems ok now.. I can play tomorrow early maybe around 5:30 or 6 if that helps, ill be around all thursday..

Myself and a certain Monkey are definitely playing tonight.

As I understand it BCB loses cash if one of us goes all the way and wins this thing so as long as the best man tonight finishes the job and wins the comp I'll be happy enough.
