    Guys,

A friend recently told me that Rapeseed oil was a healthier choice than Olive Oil.

Is this true ? I got some and have started using it for the old home made oven cooked chips instead of a little Olive Oil. SHould I go back to the Olive Oil ?

    Brian.

I don't think it matters much if your cooking it with chips.
If you heat any oil afaik it loses its health benifits and destroys the goodness of the oil - especially with chips!

When I say 'chips'. I mean a potato cut into wedges. Drizzled with Oil (maybe a table spoon for 4 spuds) and then roasted in the oven for 40 minutes. Maybe chips is to harsh a word :)

I am just wondering if for everyday cooking Olive Oil or Rapeseed Oil is better ? Or even for salads?

Again I think it matters not, as when the oil is heated it no longer bears any of the goodness. I must dig up dome stuff I have on it, thats why most oils are cold pressed and refridgerated.
