So nuts are a great source of "good" fats , right ?

I just wanted to check that im eating the right type and not inadvertently fcuking up my whole diet

I eat a mixture of almonds , walnuts , hazelnuts and brazil nuts , unsalted and unroasted. I have about a handful 3 times a day ... cant get enough of the feckers !

Is that ok ? Should I be going for something else ??

where can ya get 100% natural? i can only find 96/97% in holland and barrett in the ilac centre. I thought that was good enough so i didn't try anywhere else.

The Nourish stores carry a brand called Meridian (sp?) that do a 100% roasted organic peanut butter, comes in smooth and crunchy.

it's so bloody gorgeous. Taste's completly different to even 96/97% imo.

Also try macademia nuts. My personal fave. And if weight loss is ever a goal of yours, lose the salt as it retains water.

    Can someone answer me this:
I know nuts are high in calories and apparently you bodie prefers these types of calories and you burn them faster, is this correct?
I've just started eating a load of nuts but Pistachio Nuts are my new fav and at about 700 cal's per 100g thats still a huge amount of calories...

What about peanuts? If they're any good then I'll be stacking up on honey roasted and yoghurt covered (and maybe for an odd treat chocolate covered).

You'd be best going for a selection of plain unroasted mixed nuts, the different types have different vitamins/minerals in them.

Honey roasted and yoghurt covered peanuts are unfortunately full of sugar. They're very tasty and very high in calories - the perfect binge food IMO. Steer clear if watching your weight.

As a treat yes you could do worse but don't tell yourself you're being good wolfing them down :D

Stay away from all covered, roasted or salted nuts. Buying mixed bags are nuts are great for snacking during day (and not in one go). If they're a bit dry for you try the bags with some fruit in them (but not too much e.g. tropical).
