    Okay the story is,

Im a 21 yr old male, and have had an injury that kept me out since march.

Since then i have done little work and have gained a bit a poundage! about 1 to 1.5 stone

Now i am back and looking to get fit quick as its peak season in my sport.

Has anyone got any idea on how to get fitter/stamina wise in the quickest way possible?

Also, is there any supplements that you would reccommend to aid me?

    Cheers

Interval training is your best bet here.

    Here's some ideas:

About 2-3x a week for this stuff is probably plenty if you're really going hard on the sprints. It can be quite taxing. I'd also give a couple of days between these sessions and your matches/training.

If your injury was anything to do with your lower body though I'd work up to sprints VERY gradually for fear of reinjury.

Whey Protein would help repair your muscles after training.

So would prtoeing from whole foods - which you are probably getting in your diet anyway. Might want to check before forking out on supplements you don't actually need.
