I just bought this for the ultra-bargain price of under 40 euros.... without a shadow of a doubt, a hell of a misprice!

Iomega 1TB Value Series Hard Drive with USB 2.0

What are the chances of Apple honouring it?!? :D

Fat chance but trying my luck regardless!

I first spotted it on the Apple UK store via HotUKDeals.com - let's make a vow to only order one anyways from the Irish store. As there'll be less orders from there hence it'll arouse less suspicious - eh eh? You saw nothing! * wink wink *

They're bound to let a couple of terabyte drives go for 40 euros....!

Misprice of the century if they honour it.... which they won't! :(

    From Apple T&C's:
2.6 Whilst we will make every effort to supply you with the Products listed on the Order Confirmation, there may be occasions where we are unable to supply these Products because, for example, (i) such Products are no longer being manufactured or available or (ii) we are unable to source relevant components or (iii) if there was a pricing error on the Apple Store Web Site. In such circumstances we will contact you to inform you and may suggest alternative Products that you might wish to purchase. If you do not accept our suggestions then we will cancel your Order in relation to those Products we cannot supply and repay you any money that you may have paid to us in respect of those Products. Subject to clause 11.4 below, repayment of such monies will be the extent of our liability to you if we are unable to deliver to you the Products you have ordered.

Holy jeebus, I'll take 700, thank you very much.

*edit* Way to go, Basquille, make me take a vow not to max out my credit card

    ....€149

    confused

    guys
im thinking the misprint is on the size of the HD. according to the layout it shows the higher volume on bottom

    ???
    500
    750

would that not follow that the 1TB should be next on line to 750

I'd say they're just ordered by price, what size harddrive would fit in with the others AND sell for €30 after all.

I'd say they are sorted by price, since the 1TB is coming in at 29.95 it is first in the list. I'd assume it's meant to be 299.50

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 844 ✭✭✭eirlink

that one of the seven dealdy sins....now i know why.

i recall after the camera misprice 2 years ago that the conclusion was NOT to post up until AFTER at least you received one....

apple wont honour it anyway...its possibly just a stunt to gain more email addresses for mailshot advertising

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,464 ✭✭✭Kristok

Well there not going to honour this but id kick myself if they did so ordering one just in case.

i had ordered 2 of them but received no email confirmation yet. :-(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,630 ✭✭✭Oracle

I've been thinking about that. It's a bit strange there's no automated email sent anyway. Any time I've ordered something online, once I've given my credit card details, there's always an email. It wouldn't necessarily mean they'd have to honour the order. That seems a bit unusual to me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,201 ✭✭✭✭Basq

Ordered a MacBook off Apple a month or so back. Recieved e-mail confirmation soon after.

No e-mail so far is very suspect... and i have zero faith in them honouring it and wouldn't expect them to either, to be honest.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,401 ✭✭✭✭Anti

Just went to look again this morning, looks like they have spotted this and put the price to 299

    Here is the screen shot

    imoegavz5.jpg

But if im right, under the sales of good act 1979 they have to honour it. Even if they have E&MO or whatever it is !

I have done this with komplett before. And they have always honoured it as it was their mistake.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,630 ✭✭✭Oracle

Is the whole thing a ruse to get "customer" numbers up? For example, Apple reduce the price of one item to a very low level, but remove the automated email response from it, just in case they'd have to supply the product at that price.
