I've been working out at my local gym for the last 6 months (the Blitz, 20 minute circuit training) and while I've made some good progress (I think, I don't have stats to hand, but I can see my feet again) I'm getting kind of bored. I think I've plateaued (or will do in a month or 2) and so I need a push. I was considering learning to swim and doing that 1-2 times a week and then maybe ashtanga yoga or something for toning, etc. Should I be gymming it at the same time, or would these 2 exercises 2-3 times a week suffice to keep me healthy and unfat? There's a badminton club in my village and I'll probably rejoin them in September, which while it's no real exercise (10 mins playing, 40 mins waiting for a court to clear) is fun.

First things first, congrats on the weightloss!!

with regard to excercise the best thing to do is whatever you enjoy and will therefore sustain. If your getting kinda bored, you can shake up your gym routine. I am adding crossfit style workouts into my training www.crossfit.com, since you are already doing circuits it might be of interest to you. Swimming and yoga are both great excercises so i'd recommend giving both a try, if you enjoy it work it into your program if you dont dont. Badminton well its a fun social excerise in my experience so go for it too. Honestly i think that enjoying whatever training you do and incorporating it into your lifestyle is a key factor in maintaining fitness!

As is so often stated here, diet is a key factor in preventing the fat from creeping back. Even though you have lost the weight keep an eye on your diet and if things start to go the wrong way you can correct it.

    Congrats again!
