Worlds most expensive game of domino's ?

That MG stack down the end is hilarious though...

All it needs is a couple of ENGLs. ;)

Yeah, if im looking for a Marshall-esque amp someday, one of those VHTs will definitely be on the shortlist.

That fella has some collection alright.

I think these people are compensating for something! :D
Either that or they got locked in a loudness -> deafness -> increased loudness -> increased deafness downward spiral!!!

Or they just really like amps?

I've only got the one tube head myself, but the thoughts of getting a second one, for a different sound/vibe, well that's pretty tempting. I know for a fact I wouldn't say no to a Bogner, Diezel, Framus, Mesa, VHT and Splawn.

I'd say I'd find it easier to learn how to fly the space shuttle than where to start with that lot. At least all my Trace Elliot has is an ON/OFF switch and some equalizer functions (that have probably seized up at this stage :o )

KH, I'm all for different amps, but you have to admit those collections are a bit excessive!! Anyway it was more the racks I was getting at.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,056 ✭✭✭✭BostonB

If you had the money to have all that gear, you'd think they'd have somewhere better to put it all.

Nice Oil Rig BTW. LOL :D

You know the first thing I think when I see rigs like these is how much of that stuff is compensating for their lack of talent :p

Ah life is no fun if you can't do things to excess. :D

Yeah, for an instruments forum, with guitar-stuff making a good proportion of the posts, it's strange to see so many haters of guys with great gear.

These guys are grown-ups with good jobs. They love guitars & spend some of their disposable income on gear. That defines most people here, the only difference is the scale.

It's probably hard to understand when you're a spotty 15 year old living on pocket money, but there's probably only 30 or 40 grand worth of stuff in most of those 'infamous' collections. Plenty of people spend twice that in one go on a car, and these collections are built up over years.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,013 ✭✭✭SirLemonhead

I think grooveking earns about 60k a year.. so that's partly why he has such a huge rack collection. Plus it's all second hand stuff from ebay.

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,363 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

60K? Try doubling that and you'd be closer to what he earns. From what I know, he's the CEO of a reasonably large American company.
