Lads has anyone here ever bought supplements in from the states for their own personal use and not for resale? I'm thinkin of ordering around €250.00 worth of stuff off the 'net because its so cheap with the euro being stronger than the dollar and all that but I'm scared that the package I'll receive which will be about 11kg in weight will be slapped with customs duties by our rip off government. Is this the norm or do they let stuff like this just come through. If not has anyone any idea what you would pay on it? Damn government.

Not a problem. My brother has twice bought his years supply of supplements in the US and brought home to Dublin in a suitcase.

I presume thats because it was in a suitcase he didnt have to declare it to customs but I am actually bringing it in via airmail so does this change things?

I have ordered in bulk from Bodybuilding.com twice this year. Given the exchange rate to the dollar at the moment it is well worth it. There is a bit of overhead on your first order setting up an account and becomming an authorised buyer but once you get going the service is very good. As with most well run american companies they really have customer service nailed. I have had both my shipments shipped with Fedex and have had no probelms with customs. I found fedex very good to deal with as well.

The shipping costs are quite high so you do need to buy in bulk to make it worth your while.

Just make sure you don't have anything the IMB would like to get their hands on other wise you'll have big diffs.

Courier companies can sometimes send a charge for duty 1 or 2 months after they delivered, without ever telling you about it upon delivery.

www.bulkpowders.co.uk was the cheapest I have seen.
