Hi guys, can anyone advise me on the best weight-gain supplement that I can buy, and where to buy it?

I eat as much and as healthily as I can, but I cannot gain weight.
I work out 2-3 times per week during the college year.
Right now I work out once a week, but during the week I have a fairly physical job which involves lots of lifting etc.

I am 6ft 2/3 inches tall and I weigh about 12 and a half stone.
I cannot seem to increase my weight at all:mad:

Will a weight gain supplement be of much help, if i combine it with a good diet and regular exercise?
And maybe this is a stupid Q, but will the weight gain be 'good' weight? I mean will it be more muscle, or fat???

    Thanks for any help:D

Depends on what kind of food your taking in. To put on weight your going to have to increase your calories and protein intake. Multiply your bodyweight in pounds by 18 to get your maintenace calorie level and add about 400 cals a day to this to put on good weight (obviously in conjunction with a vigourous three time a week weights programme). Optimums weight gainer shake is good. Make sure your increase in calories comes from protein, complex carbs and good fats like oily fish and olive oil in cooking and on salads. Eat more steak and chicken and do not be scared about increasing your fat intake from HEALTHY SOURCES. That means forget about pizza and ice cream to increase calories and have a look at salmon and mackerel. You are what you eat and if you take in bad fuel it will reflect in your body. Cheat meals when bulking are allowable and you can have a high fat high calorie meal once a week. With all this you should put on weight in no time. Get your body fat checked regularly to see if its going up or down. Depending on what it is at the moment your goals will vary.

    Thanks for the help.

    BF- 12% at the min.

What do you mean by a cheat meal? Is that just an 'anything goes' kind of meal??!!

I must say i will find it hard to eat more food, mainly due to work.
Right now i work from 9 to 6 and i have a lunch break from 1 to 2. I have dinner when i get home, usually around half 6 or 7.

I find it hard to fit in any substantial amounts of food for the rest of the evening so I'm hoping the supplements will give me a boost.

It will give you a boost but you need to keep your metabolism ticking over by eating every 3 hours. If you find this difficult, bring meal replacement shakes in bottles or in the individual packet or protein bars which typically pack 300+ calories. If you want to do this you have to push the boat out a little and be willing to go the extra mile. Pre-prepare small meals the previous night and bring them along with you. I often bring a small tub of cottage cheesemixed with tuna to work which typically gives me 400 calories as well as my protein shakes and a 7 egg white omellete. If you keep planning you will have no problem eating at regular intervals. How long does it take to pull a protein bar out of your pocket and scoff it down? 30 seconds probably. And yes cheat meals are ones where you eat pretty much your favourite foods.

I suggest you post your daily diet so we can see exactly how much you are eating at the moment.

Its not very good at the minute, and certianly not good enough to gain weight, so I'd be grateful for any help.

Breakfast- Cereal, usually weetabix or alpen.
10.45- Tea break, I usually have a ham salad sandwich and a bannana as well.
Lunch: 13.00-14.00 - Chicken fajitas, or something like pasta and sausages, or pasta and chicken
Dinner: 1800 - meat, veg, potatoes- steak, chops, mince or chicken. veg is usually sweetcorn and broccoli.

Sometime in the evening I would have eat again- it varies every day.

    That is basically it.
I have some snacks in between meals too, but I try to keep them healthy ones.

Get some sort of protein in the morning, whether it be a protein shake or meat or nuts. Maybe add some brown bread in as some extra carbs seeing as how you want to gain weight.

Make it a chicken/turkey salad sandwich for your tea brake. Yes ham is nicer than chicken/turkey imo too but the c/t will be better source of protein.

Broaden the veg a little, throw in some cauliflower, carrots, peppers etc etc.

Get another meal in at about 8/9 too, a decent sized meal too, not a snack.

You say healthy snacks but everyone has their own definition of what healthy is, what are the snacks?
