How Much Cardio?

I've done up an eating plan and am using all my willpower to stick to it. How much cardio should I be doing - I've two stone to loose? I'm doing a half hour walk with the dog every morning, two hours in the park with the dog on Sat & Sun and one hour cardio in the gym three nights a week. I do about half hour on crosstrainer at varying levels and then half hour on the treadmill. I jog 4 mins, walk 1 min, jog 4, walk 1 etc. If I need to be doing more, I'd like to know now rather than finding out in a month that I haven't lost as much as I could have.

Interval training is the way to go IMO

Some resistance based work will help with fat loss. Take a look at some of the sample weight programs and try do it before your cardio in the gym.

this might be a bit overkill for most people, but i found some of the points rather interesting:

I know I wont be getting any awards now or anything, but I walk for 30mins twice a day Monday to Friday. I was just wondering is it doing me any good, or should I be doing separate cardio. It's a fast paced walk.

Ya thats kinda what I thought. Not planning on running in any marathons, but a decent level of cardio is what I want.

    Thanks Dave
