    Nice one:)

***Incredibly stupid question warning*** I've never used the service. In the credit section it says I also got 1 P&P credit. Does that mean I don't pay anything???

Just different bargain related websites. I found some more. Enjoy. ;)

    TIME40PRINTS gives 40 credits.

    YTRAV-11CDC-8D254 gives 30 credits.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,653 ✭✭✭m_stan

Those last two appear to be valid only for new members. We'll see what happens ...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,819 ✭✭✭rymus

score.. I now have more print credits than I'll ever use.. Better find some decent stuff to print I guess. In case anyones in doubt, those last two worked for me without any problems.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,966 ✭✭✭elven

Woo I never thought about actually using those - next time I get an email with a code I'll share :)

Those last two, the popup says that they are for new members only but it still adds the credits to your account, not sure if they would then go on to decide you're not a new customer at the point of order...?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,819 ✭✭✭rymus

I reckin not... I tried a few codes last night that were for new customers only and it didn't accept any of them. It must do a quick comparison with the month and year a person joined before it validates the code.

    Dito.

And the two new credits Ruu posted are to be used within a period of time as they were as already mentioned for "new members."

I ordered some prints yesterday, using the credits that I had added. As of yet, I haven't got any mail telling me that my order has been dispatched.
Anyone have success using the credits yet?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,547 ✭✭✭City-Exile

Ok, I've just read that if you use free print credits, it can take up to 5 days for your order to be dispatched.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,966 ✭✭✭elven

I did an order earlier and got an email about 15 minutes later telling me it was dispatched.

But that's not what you wanted to hear, is it...? :(

Does anyone know if it is possible to combine some of the free credits to get bigger prints?

    Order still not dispatched.
Fired off an e-mail complaint. Got the generic, automated response.
What I'm most annoyed about is that I'd ordered some 12 x 10 prints, at €4.39 each. It wasn't just an order using credits.

Can't see myself using Photobox again. They're just too much hassle.
Used SnapFish, while I was in the UK. Might see what their service in Ireland is like.

    There's always Timblefull's friends at FujiPix, I suppose. :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,819 ✭✭✭rymus

very odd.. any order I've ever made with them has been dispatched at the very latest the next morning (and that's when I've ordered either at 6pm or late on in the evening).

Normally the biggest delay is with the An Post side of things. As recently as last Monday morning I made an order for 6 A4 prints. They were printed and dispatched within an hour and they were delivered on Friday. If we had a better post service, the whole process would be quicker than driving into town and getting them printed on the spot :D

I'd ring them if I were you City, something has obviously gone majorly wrong with your order and it's been my experience that they fix any problems that occur very quickly an to the utter satisfaction of the customer. Now, before I sound like a shareholder in photobox, I'll take my leave!

An Post is slower than usual these days. I am waiting for a package for the past 10 days from the UK. I asked my postman mate what the story was and he said there is a slower than usual 'go slow' on at the mo :( Sigh

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,547 ✭✭✭City-Exile

Interesting that you chose to blame An Post for the delay. I presume there was evidence that they were at fault?
Having spent many years in the UK, I can safely say that Royal Mail's service fluctuates from being as good as An Post, to being worse than that which could be provided by a blind carrier pigeon, missing a wing & flying through the territory of some very hungry peregrine falcons.

Royal Mail are on a "go-slow" because of plans to move certain services from the Post Office to WH Smith.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,424 ✭✭✭440Hz

Yeah Royal Mail aren't much better. I would say the delay is a combination of both. Actually in fairness, for outgoing mail An Post tend to be faster than Royal Mail in my experience. Any letters/packages I post from Ireland tend to reach their destination very quickly. However its not so great the other way round. My postman mate was explaining its down to where the packages/letters for each location go to be sorted, the sorting offices have all changed recently and so your package could be in the country but flying around to various destinations before it gets anywhere near your own town. progress :D

In fairness, if you managed to stay in one place long enough, your postman might actually be able to find you! :p
