<I'll just sit in the rocking chair in the corner feeling old shall I? I've never heard of them!>:)

I listen to anything with a strong beat when I'm training. I have a set of 30 mins of songs that I use for really hard (i.e. HR>195) stuff because I need to focus on staying alive then but otherwise I try to keep a lot of variety in it.

upbeat with a strong tempo for running (fatboy slim chemical bros the killers)
aggressive for weights (rob zombie system of a down rage against the machine)

    (probably not to your taste!)
Disturbed, Devil Driver, old Slipknot, Children Of Bodom, In Flames, Static-X, Pantera. Something along those lines is usually enough to keep me pushing through a weights session, although it does result in some mighty face pulling.

    I like movie soundtracks.
Last of the Mohicans and Gladiator are good.

It's uplifting music and you can imagine yourself in the lead role doing impressive stuff.

Might sound stupid to others, works for me :)

A mixture of Eminem, Prodigy and chemical brothers for me, but I always finish up a race over a training session to ride of the valkyries, it a bit of a performance cue for me, when I hear that its time to dig deep.

Theres this one instructor dude in my gym who likes to listen to the frames, paddy casey etc. when he's working. He clearly has absoloutely no consideration for us gym users who pay his wages. Every time I see this guy on duty my heart sinks.

My iPod shuffle is missing in action at the mo so there's nothing I can do except bear it.

Somebody had the good taste to put on Guns n' roses the other day though - nice

I also like the kitsune maison mixes. I listen to something with a strong beat to start off with such as the Prodigy, Daft punk, Faithless, Felix DHC, Les Rythmes Digitales etc.

Then when I get tired and really need to push myself hard I listen to angry music like Nirvana and some of the metal stuff I like which is not much. Keeps me pumped and busting through all the walls my weak and pathetic body can throw at me!

I really hate gyms that play loud music (or music at all). surely 90% of people have some sort of music player in this day and age.

Try a bit of Pendulum and Prodigy mixed in with some Rage Against the Machine (a good song is the Bombs over Baghdad Remix by Rage against the machine!)

Prodigy, Cheesy 80's, Placebo's faster tracks, Therapy?, Rocky Theme Songs, Need to put together a playlist though, largely end up flicking for stuff on the i-pod at the moment.

I like confusion, by new order. The pump panel mix. It's the song from the start of blade, when he's in club blood.
