    Howdy all,

My niece is thinking of becoming a fitness instructor and was asking me what the salary is like, tbh i have no idea.

Anybody any info on this, for example how much would the fitness staff in westwood or similar places be on?

    any info appreciated.

    cheers

It's true, gym instructors almost always get paid ridiculously low wages, I understand most of them who make a career of it rely on PT work to get by.

Crunch Fitness yearly salary apporx 19-20k.
Jackie Skellies approx 19-21k, depending on qualification
Ben Dunne Group yearly salary approx 22k per year.

Independant trainer anything from zlich to 100,000 per year (But at the higher end it's rare).

As a gym instructor I get €9.70 an hr, Personal Training I get €30 an hr and teaching swimming lessons I get €25 for 45 mins. In my workplace I also get commission for selling Maximuscle supplements and also for selling memberships depending on the type of membership (off-peak, full) I get anything from €10-€30

9-10 euro starting and 11-12 euro is doin well! im doing well!! but its not about the money for me-i love fitness and everything about it, also im quite experienced so get 33 euro an hour when i tutor or 50 euro an hour for pt-i dont do much pt as i train most of my spare time but do boxing lessons and i charge 30 euro a half hour, my clients are always very happy with this as you get what you pay for. there is money to be made if you want but you need to be driven and have a good knowledge and personality.

Rush Boxing club and Rush Martial Arts head coach.
