who do you think is the best person to go to for an injury caused by weightraining basically whats wrong is that this didnt happen overnight, its been at me for id say a few years but progressively got worse.

When I lift with weights and especially supersets I get this pain on the left hand shoulder/neck.Its so bad that I have to put the weight down before the muscle im trying to work has failed. This pain isnt that bad on most exercises but when I do biceps exercise of any kind the pain is really bad and I cant go on, the thing is when I put the weight down the pain more less goes straight away, its only really affects me during the lifting.

    any ideas

Sports physio, A&E or Chiropractor..........but talk to someone that knows what they're on about as it sounds serious.

Yeah sounds serious, you need to get that checked ASAP, i would suggest a sports physio as the first port of call. make an appointment ASAP and stay away from the excercises which cause pain in the interim.

Sounds like your bicep might be acting to stabilise your shoulder.

Get to a sports physio and they'll have you sorted in no time provided it's not anything more sinister than a muscular control problem.

    Thanks guys

I add a session with a sports physio today and she said I had muscle imbalances-basically my chest and shoulders have had more work than my back and my shoulders are being propelled forward along with tendons etc

She told me to focus on strengthening my back and go light on chest and shoulders for now
