Pronunciation of band names.

We've all come across this problem, you read about a band, or you acquire some stuff, but you cant pronounce the bands name and are embarrased to ask.

Well how do you pronounce "Kyuss"
i'd go for something that includes the "eye" sound and the 'oose (as in goose) sounds, am i right?

Pretty much sure it Day-eh-side. Never heard anyone pronounce it any other way!

All the Brazilians I've met pronounced it like "Seh-pull-too-rah" so that's what I go by.

I'm sure Children of Bodom is "Bow-dom". I used to say "Bod-umm".

and I've read from their website that it's pronounced See-gur Rose (but the rose is sort of shortened, think of saying roast but without the t)

the actual pronounciation is See-ur Row-ss, according to their site. the s in the Ros is very pronounced, so its not like "rows", but rowsssss, if that makes sense. imagine it being pronounced by a snake, haha

Any syllable of your choice repeated three times (normally chk chk chk but it could be bam bam bam or dig dig dig or ping ping ping or John John John).

Zzyzx is pronounced "Zizx" (like you say the last z and x together fast). Also when he mentions it he doesnt mention the Rd. part, just Zzyzx.

for anybody wondering Mortiis is just pronounced mortis, not Morteese. He had a pen pal who always signed off with "Mortiis", thought it was cool, and used it as the name of his project, then 3 years into the "Mortiis" project, he realised that he had been spelling it wrong the entire time.
